China New Boy Group, Taiwan Super Model Marriage, Japan KPop Craze

In the latest news of China’s stolen secrets, their show “Producer Camp” which seems like a hop on of MNet’s Producer 101, have just ended and given RISE to a new boy group. The eleven member boy group concluded and the 11 flower young men are as below

Now CPop is basically KPop all over again albeit less popular internationally or even within Asia. It has been ramping up in popularity though, this is the second group to of CPoppers to debut after the last group UNINE debuted with a similar show called iProducer by the streaming/cable service IQiyi. This is a large increase because there are actually barely any chinese idol group, the famous of them is Rocket Girls, WayV (which is wait for it a.k.a NCT-China mode!), 9% and also TFBoys who are probably now dead because of that one person that was caught cutting deals smoking weed. It remains to be seen if these new CPop groups will get popular. Idols from China in Korean groups have been increasing as of late like #1 Wonyoung from Izone or Yiren from the new group Everglow (Coming to NY this July at KCon America!) plus a few others I can’t seem to think of right now.

Speaking of weed, cocaine (which FUN FACT is judge to be LIGHTER than Weed. Weed is a Class A by DEA drug while cocaine is literally class B by DEA. It might have changed by now but not 3 months ago!) usage has been found on musician Pierre Taki who is a member of Denki Groove a JPop band formed WAY WAY back in the Stone Ages of 1989. On to happier news though Exile’s (another JPop group formed way way back in the stone ages like what 1990s-2000s?) Akira married a super model from Taiwan Lin Chi Ling. It’s a reverse trope marriage because he is the young one (by 7 years!).

The KPop wave spearheaded by BTS is having not just big consequences worldwide, but also Pan-Asia as well as many more non Korean idol-hopefuls aim to get trained and skip out on that sweet college degree. Even though Asian countries are not known to be buddies with each other from “I’ll will eat your country up, but I give respect to the West so I won’t” China to “Yo yo remember that one time we fucked everyone over and now they hate us and not China for some reason?” Japan, idol-hopefuls still flock to schools that trained them dancing and singing which usually cost upwards to 2300 dollars (well converted that to Korean Won or Yen or Yuan etc. That’s a lot of cash). That’s probably basically the cost of a college degree in Asia anyways. Japan probably has a lot of youth available, I mean most of them are now at home playing games in a widespread protest that’s affecting Japan right now. Read More
