Is this Hong King Kong? Or is this Vietnam? After the events of the last few days, I’m not sure what to think anymore
Man: HEY FUCK YOU FUCK PROTESTORS. You are a bunch of BITCHES!
That’s right, after a man shouted “Yo Mama is fat” and the protestors reply with “No U!”, he quit literally got roasted after the protestors doused him with flammable liquid and turn on the grill. On that same day, the one police officer wounded a man with a live round of ammo after maybe being attacked. Now when we last caught up with Hong Kong, the Chinese government warn them ominously that they will step in. As of right now, they haven’t step….. yet as the city is still taking by the storm. We are at what, 23 weeks of protesting now? It doesn’t really seem to get any better as the government resist the protestor five demands which are again basically…
You know what I’m getting a little miss feeling on this protest as it unfolds. Sure I love democracy, sure I love what they protesting for, but getting from A to B is what I have a problem with. It’s like talking with your friends how he/she/they say “I’m gonna get an A!” and you are like “GOOD JOB!” And then they follow that up with “BY WORKING REALLY HARD…” and you are like “I’m really proud of you insert neutral name here” and then they end it with “…ON HACKING INTO THE SCHOOL SYSTEM AND CHANGING THE GRADES” and you like “what?”. Like I really want to get behind you and support you, but like this mass violence on BOTH SIDES gotta go. Look I know these violent acts might be somewhat justifiable, it isn’t like Hong King Kong went straight for the kill this first time they did ask nicely back in 2014 with the Umbrella Movement (a peaceful protest that ended with promise of universal sufferage that was unfulfilled). But if you are preaching five demands and no less, it’s virtually impossible to fulfill all of them at this point. If you going to hold the police accountable, which I believe you should, then you should also hold some of the protestors accountable, espcially ones that decided it was a good idea to burn dissent quite literally. This is definitely a “riot” no matter which way you look at it. It’s a riot…. that doesn’t mean it’s “bad”. It’s like Robin Hood, all the little kids say you did good, but yeah it’s still STEALING THOUGH.
The latest relevations of the act focus on campuses. Hong Kong universities like “Hong Kong University of Science and Technology” have canceled classes altogether or some university have switch to E-Learning as students turn that chemistry lab into a literal fire bomb lab or that woodshop lab into bow and arrows factory. Students have begin barricading their new “Factories” from the police who threaten to use live weapons to tear it down and at this point Victor Hugo is probably turn on in heaven. I just got to say that I am happy that this is happening because I got to read “Les Miserables” for English class and would rather watch a live adaptation. I got to say this protests doesn’t seem to have a clear end in site. I just hope they get what they want, but I feel like China is going to get there before this thing run down. In the meantime to Hong Kong students…. HAPPY EARLY WINTER BREAKKKKKKK
