Police to look into SBS little mishap

Police to look into SBS little mishap

After what seems like already a few weeks past the intial SBS Gayo Daejun festival, the Seoul police have finally made its move on SBS in regards to the Wendy accident. The police are investigating if SBS was negligent in causing the accident, which answer key: They mos def were, and even a first grader could have seen that. I guess this is a good thing and a step in the right direction, but it would be kind of wishy washy to hope that SBS will get into big trouble, they will probably get slap with a fine or something and everybody will move on with their lifes. Maybe I was totally out of the loop when I was volunteering when the whole festival thing and then accident happened, but I can’t remember if there was anyone actually calling for an investigation. I remember there were many expressing anger at the fact that SBS let this happen and there were many calling SBS out on their lackluster of an apology, but there was no big “movement” to hold SBS accountable or a call for a lawsuit. Heck and there were calls for investigation when Produce X 101 ended, a show which is watch by 2% and produce a group that disbanded quicker than their debut single titled. Now I’m thinking about it, that blows my mind! Even though it could be career ending in the fact that Wendy suffer fracture in her pelvis (which could damage dancing abilities), and her face was swollen and some of her cheekbone was fracture (being an idol, the face tend to be more important than anything else) there were only calls for SBS to properly apologize and no lawsuit. I know this shit wouldn’t have gone down if let say Irene was injured, oh hell bounds everyone would be on edge even though strictly speaking of talents, Wendy has wayyy more. It seem like even though Dispatch release that dire report on like first degree negligence on SBS part, it was all too quickly forgotten.

Hopefully, SBS would show some sincerity and actually tried to implement some changes even though this investigation will probably not go anywhere. Knowing them though, they couldn’t even get an apology right so it will be a SLIGHT stretch to see if they implement any real changes to the safety of their broadcast and guests that are not so renown. Hopefully the next an SBS employee wishes someone to “break a leg” in their performance, let that actually be figurative and not “holy shiz it is LITERAL”
