KCon NY unexpectedly suffers under Trump’s Tariffs

Well Well Well Well, I must say a TERRIFIC VICTORY FOR PRESIDENT TRUMP. He sticks by his guns, just days after EXO’s King Suho declared at the Blue House (basically South Korea adaptation of US White House) Summit- where we saw that terrific border crossing that made Trump an illegal immigrant– that president Trump daughter loves EXO and “all kpop groups” this happen.

US Daddy President Trump: “OMG OMG, there’s a KCON IN NEW YORK THIS WEEKEND. I think I got to see those PRETTY LADIES and maybel score a HOLE IN ONE if you catch my jizz and mean gist!”
Advisors: That’s disgusting sir
US Daddy President Trump: I don’t think so, this is what SOUTH KOREAN MEN TOLD ME I SHOULD DO WHEN VIEWING GIRL GROUPS.
Advisors: You’re not wrong……. Anyways sir will you be interested in a list of performers at the event
US Daddy President Trump: Of Course, the list…..
Advisors: The male groups Ateez, Seventeen, The Boyz, SF9, Nu’Est, TXT, Verivery, AB6IX
Advisors: The female groups are Izone, G-IDLE, Fromis_9, and EVERGLOW
US Daddy President Trump: And they are all Koreans?
Advisors: Why yes sir, Izone has a couple of Japanese member. EVERGLOW has one Chinese Member
US Daddy President Trump: Uh oh…..
Advisors: Yes?
US Daddy President Trump: We have a trade war going RIGHT NOW. Any GOODS COMING FROM CHINA IS A 25% TARIFF
Advisors: Sir…… She’s a woman not a piece of good/thing. That’s very sexist of you!
Advisors: 25% TARIFF on her passport IT IS!

AHEM AHEM, that’s right. Sadly KCON New York is the latest victim in this trade war between the US and China. EVERGLOW– a relatively new girl group- has announced that they can’t make it due to last minute visa issues. That means the Super Rookie Showcase (showcasing new groups) will just be attended by Verivery. There are plans though to have EVERGLOW perform at KCON LA instead. Now of course as of this post, there’s only one day left in KCon New York, so if you are in the Garden and want to check out a $76 dollar concert here’s the ticket link.

I strongly advise you though to save your money and attend the LA one instead if you are a KPop fan. Since LA is where all the “bigger” names will be performing. Including Mamamoo, “soon to be nonexistent solo career” Chungha, Momoland, Stray Kidz, and ONEUS. If that’s not enough, most boy groups from KCon NY is actually sign up to perform at LA. The tickets are not out yet but the concert is set to premiere on July 12th weekend.

Well that’s all the news on KCon….. wait what? Momoland noonas want to make a statement?

“Yes please. Ok you people who attend the Los Angeles concert. Ok espcially you men, we don’t mind if you jack off at home ok, most people only listen to us to do that anyways we understand. Jack off in the private of your own home please. Thank you very much”

Ah thank you noonas for that kind message!

Xinjiang is China’s crime-num opus

WHAT???? What is this Xinjiang Province in China doing here on this site? Well since I got to find some Chinese entertainment news and they are a censorship magnate, I guess I decide to do an article on this.

So first what is a province in China? The short answer to that is it’s basically the equivalence to a US State. Each province has its own unique flavor in food, accent, and sometimes culture! Just like state here in the US that also slightly differ from another in culture, accent, and food: you got incest Alabama, coal mining West Virginia, barbecue Texas, crabs Maryland, and polluted New York.

Xinjiang Province is unique because it is supposedly “highly autonomous” (although less so than Hong Kong) because the majority of the population there wasn’t Han Chinese in the old days. Actually the province is well known for being the home of many Uyghurs, muslim people of turkish descent. Also it’s unique because only about 10% of the whole region is actually inhabitable, the rest…… not so much.

Now in the old days, Xinjiang was actually not under the rule of China. First it was a place where nomads settle down, and much of China Early History they were afraid of invaders coming from around this region. Then it was a Buddhist place ruled by Dzungar Khanate during the period where Mongols shred everybody with either warfare or bubonic plague. Then the inhabitants convert to Islam and totally forgot their roots and thought that it was their conquerer who brought this EVIL BUDDHISM to the region. Answer Key: It wasn’t. It finally came under China control during the Qing Dynasty, which ironically WASN’T a Han Chinese led dynasty but a Manchurian led one (Manchus are basically like Uyghurs, but now a days they are basically Han Chinese cause they have assimilated so much). After the Qing Dynasty Xinjiang went into the future and saw what the Catalonia in Spain was trying to do. So they decided to do the exact same and in a Soviet backed revolt it ceded from Koumintang Party/Republic of China/Taiwan. Sadly the newly minted nation didn’t last long and was crushed by the PEOPLE REPUBLIC of CHINA (the ruling party now and the party that chase the Republic of China to that little island on the map. Talk about Han on Han aggression). Troubled by the unstableness of the region, Chinese government encourage Han Chinese to move to the region in large numbers. So large that nowadays, 40% of the people there are Han Ethnicity and only 45% are actually Uyghurs.

China might have left the whole region alone if not for the fact that their current chairman started the Belt Road Initiative which is basically a Chinese adaptation of the Marshall Plan. The Belt Road Initiative is China big grand economic plan to build a network of Global trade that is center around…. them.

Much of the road “overland” route that spread to Europe and Africa goes through….. XINJIANG PROVINCE!! Therefore to get a good authoritative stability of the region, China has beef up its security in Xinjiang. You might have heard of articles on China monitering its citizens using face recognition, a social score and stuff like that. Nowhere is it more prominent than Xinjiang where Uyghurs are pratically put under high scrutiny. Almost all of them have to have their fingerprints and DNA taken. Some/ALOT are putting into internment camps, or should I say “re-education” center. Police can stop anyone and check anyone as much as they want. Nobody really wants to rebel because police have epic firearms in their hands at all times. Heck there’s literally like three police stations in every block! To buy unsafe stuff, Uyghurs have to have a certain score. For example if you want to buy a knife, you have to be classify basically as a “good citizen”. Then the knife is imprinted with a QR code and that QR code is then printed onto the Uyghurs special ID. Basically if police found that knife where it is not suppose to be, they know instantly who it belongs too. Even tourists aren’t spared from all the security that’s going on in Xinjiang because China wants to really keep their oppression of Uyghurs underneath wraps. So much so that each tourist/residence is require by the police to download a VERY COOL APP. The app basically allows Chinese officers to steal pieces of data including WHOLE TEXT CONVERSATION, music downloads, calls, calender logs, even which apps the user has downloaded. Now it’s all gucci unless you have dwabble in such EVIL things as listening to Unholy Grave a Japanese Rock band that has a song praising Taiwan. Or if you have the Quran downloaded on your phone you know for memorizing, or have islamic publications like Rumiyah. Otherwise you are good to go, and me as a government official can enjoy all your embarassing text, dick pics, and booty calls. For me it’s basically free porn in a country that probably censor porn too. It’s sad that while the rest of the Chinese public likes and maybe even AHEM (REDACTED) to……..

As a signal of “good faith”, China actually just invited a Turkish ambassadors to Xinjiang and observe the heavy security there. Let’s be honest they can always be bought with money or threats, this all just seem like a big show for China. If you think this is all mess up, I just want you to remember. I don’t care if “oh no not the majority”, looking at July 4th and the state of affair right now, you voted for children in cages and seperation of families. Which is only a couple of steps above what China is doing. Again hey, at least they are doing it to adults.

G20 summit in Osaka ends with barely any results except a cool picture!

Not much have been agree upon….

What an eventful talks the G20 summit in Osaka has been! Where absolutely nothing have been done! To those who don’t know about G20, it’s basically a meeting of powerful countries (ok fine countries who have the top 20 economies. Combine, they own like 80%-90% of the world’s GDP. It’s basically like the top 1% cocktail party). Now why would an entertainment website cover such a heavy deavy topic, well because China loves to censor its entertainment news so we will shift over and play politics for a bit here.

One of the main events of the talk was the meeting between Chinese and American President. The current trade war has been hurting both sides. The answers that came out of the mysterious talks was….. a pledge for MORE TALKS! Wow what a solution!

I GUESS??? Apparently, China and US has done this once before. Guess where it was? OH IT WAS AT THE PREVIOUS G20 SUMMIT IN ARGENTINA! China and US has pledge to cut a trade deal that both sides can agree too, and they actually drafted that “Gentlemen Agreement”. A little while later though, China decides to back out of one little terms in that deal. That is to protect intellectual property of foreign US companies. You see, US overhere as you all know has something call copyright that protect and individual’s “intellectual property”. Now of course that’s a good thing in hindsight. It encourages innovation because what’s yours IS EXCLUSIVELY YOURS. For a set amount of time. If you can think and build it, you can copyright it and sell it, and other companies cannot copy. Of course the down side of that is…

Pharmaceuticals can hike life saving drug prices that they discover/created first WAY WAY UP. As a socialist country, China doesn’t have such system in place. Or at least, not for foreign companies. This was one of the main reason for the US hiking tarriffs to 25% on Chinese imported goods this year. Now at the G20 the two nations have promise no more additional tarriffs while negotiations continue, but Beijing have stressed that they will not make a law that protects US intellectual property. Over 600+ big businesses (like Walmart, and Target) have sent president Trump an open letter not to raise any more tarriffs, they took the G20 results with a breather although many businesses remain skeptical. I mean they do have a reason to raise eyebrows, because last year in Argentina- where this exact agreement was made- tarriffs were much lower than they were today. Even global leaders remain skeptical, with some saying 45% chance that a deal will actually be made.

Cool Picture

Well one thing did look a bit promising. Before leaving Osaka Japan, President Trump took to twitter and tweeted to Supreme North Korean Leader that he would like to cross the DMZ and greet him. Finally our GLORIOUS president use twitter a little bit properly.

Now this crossing the DMZ zone was long planned, President Trump was dettered by “harsh storms” last time he tried to cross the DMZ. This time around president Trump met with South Korean President Moon at the blue house in which representatives from KPop a.k.a King Suho of EXO was present. Suho later said…..

““We met U.S. President Trump, but rather than the power of EXO, I think [we were invited] due to the power of K-pop. K-pop is loved all around the world, and I’m sure [Ivanka Trump] loves many [groups among K-pop], but I think she really liked EXO. I heard President Trump’s granddaughter is a fan of EXO as well, and we met Advisor Ivanka Trump at the PyeongChang Olympics, so I think that’s why we were able to have this opportunity.””

Oh please King Suho of EXO, the only group that Adviser Ivanka knows is BTS, let’s all be honest here. Also President Trump granddaughter liking EXO? Oh please that was probably diplomacy….

Advisor I: Oh yes, Mr. Suho…. My niece (or daughter) loves uh… singing Asian men
Suho: OH EXO?
Advisor I: (aside) I am pretty sure it started with a BTS because you know THEY JUST GOT BIG HERE WHAT THE FUC HAVE YOU DONE EXO IN AMERICA WHY WOULD MY DAUGHTER/OR MY NIECE KNOW ABOUT YOUR ASS? But anyways they all look alike they are all too white asian people.. (to King Suho of EXO) Oh yes EXO yes yes VERY GOOD GROUP!

President Trump then travel to the DMZ where he met up with Supreme Leader Kim and took about ten steps across the DMZ. President Trump and Supreme Leader Kim has agree to restart nuclear deal talks after the last disaster of the Hanoi Summit and reports that the envoys for North Korean in those talks was recently executed. . Hey at least one thing was reopened, although many politicians in the US said it was a sign of appeasement.

Rocket Girls launch a new “hit” with help from Cosmo (ic) Girls

HAHAHAHAHAH, SEE MY PUNY TITLE? “Luanch”? Cause they are like rockets…

AHEM, anyways Rocket Girls. Now you probably have NEVER heard of them, which is alright because they are a CPop group. Now CPop is heavily influence by KPop, there are already many chinese members on Kpop groups from Wonyoung in Izone to Yiren from the newly form EVERGLOW. Now China have tried to copy the Korean formula by forming Pop groups too. These groups are not THAT popular in China, but they are more of a hit with the younger generation (unlike KPop which has a lot of old ladies and men following too). With that in mind, Rocket Girls (one of the few pure chinese pop Groups) just release their new songs

Wow, so “complex”. The lyrics are literally like a poem somebody back in the 1800s wrote. It’s literally a 4-minute song about growing up and the coming struggle, although I will say that the smell of adult hood for these Rocket Girls, is blood not rain not joy not wind not all of that. Anyways, they main title “Wind” speak to how the song is a long description of the phrase “Winds of Change”, that’s basically it. The music is soothing, which I like it doesn’t have the “poppy” and “jumpy” sound of KPop which is fine. They remind of GFriend, who does the same tone of music, soft and melodious. Chinese songs are more known for its softer soothing tone and I do like the fact that this song is just that. There’s no dances, they literally just sit there and sing and if that’s the case, I’m gonna have to go on their vocals. It’s not that strong at all, there were barely any high notes throughout the song. I guess overall the song is pretty decent even though there was no strong vocals or dancing or anything impressive about the music video. I am just a sucker for soft rhythmic music.

Taking after the West, Hong King Kongers Memes it up

You know what I love about AMERICA? The fact that we LOVE LOVE, ABSOLUTELY LOVE to meme stuff up no matter how serious it is. Those SNOBBISH european countries, asian countries, african countries, south american countries love to say how America have no culture (let’s face it no one kool lives in Oceania). WE DO THOUGH AND IT’S MEMES AND GIFS AND I LOVE IT.

Ahem onto to our story, Hong Kong. Now last time we visit the situation, student activists and protestors rose once again after Chief Executive Lamb failed to say whether she will totally wipe the extradition bill out of existence. After that fiasco get this, police totally lied about the protest, saying that people who needed medical help couldn’t get to an ambulance because of those damn protestors (which of course puts protestors in a bad light).

Protestors bit back by saying there are footage of ambulances arriving to the police administration building with no problem because “…people always make way for the ambulance”. You know what I can tell that the person is telling the truth, when I hear sirens from police or ambulance behind me, I literally crash into the sidewalk to make way because that’s how much I care about people. Even if I am in the middle lane, FUC CARS ON THE RIGHT LANE I’M SAVING LIVES HERE. Also it’s not really new that government lies about protest, well of course everybody lies to paint their government in a good light. Even the US do it constantly and all the time here’s a link to go to if you want to see recent lies.

Other than that, Hong King Kongers are taking to the web to spread some memes about the whole situation. Now of course you have to be Hong King Kongers or at least speak an Asianatic language to understand most of the puns and curse words. Anyways, PROTESTORS GOT THESE FANCY SMANSY STICKERS……

That of course have moments and quotes from the police cursing at the protestors. Another one when Ms. Head Lamb (who’s surpise is Pro-Beijing) was like she felt like a mother needing to discipline the rowdy kids and not give in to their demands she walked herself straight into a popular curse phrase in Catonese. For you see MOST curse words in MOST asian languages usually curse out mothers. Yes, I know the US got that “Yo Mama” going for them, but those are usually taken as jokes not seriously. In Catonese/Most asian languages though the “Yo Mama” jokes = N-word/Fuc$/Bit$$/$hit/all that goodie. So this poster has been seen in recent protest…..

The Catonese phrase basically says “Suspend your Mother”…..

The Hong King Kongers EVEN GOT SOME LORD OF THE RINGS REFERENCE on their own little Reddit-esque website of LIHKG……

Jokes aside, the situation in Hong Kong looks not as dire as before. 32 ex-lawmakers from both side of the government (Pro-beijing/Pro-democracy) have called for the Extradition bill to be wiped out of existence (for the pro-beijingers FOR NOW WAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHA)

Source: 1

Hong King Kongers are seriously getting Egged on……

Wow, is it still ongoing? EGG-XACTLY right (HA) the protest over the extradition bill/amendment still rages even though Chief Executive Carrie Lam has called for an indefinite postponed of the said extradition bill/amendment which would allow Hong Kong finally to handle extradition requests from China and Taiwan. Until now, Hong Kong had a system in place to send criminals back to their home country almost EVERYWHERE ELSE except for China and Taiwan. That mean if you committed a crime in Taiwan or China and successfully run to Hong Kong- you live almost! Now in RETROSPECT this law might be good, but ahem China has a history of labeling “polictical dissendents” (which isn’t egg-xactly a crime) as criminals and obviously Hong Kong doesn’t want to extradite those people seeking asylum. Read more indepth here.

Before, the protestors have stated that they want the bill COMPLETELY destroyed. It has just been “indefinitely postpone” which mean it can be brought up and discuss and pass again when the people aren’t looking. Protestors also stated that they want Carrie Lam to step down but that probably won’t happen any time soon. Well when Chief Executive Lamb didn’t reply to the protestor calls, they beging to egg-xact their revenge. Protestors began to take the streets again yesterday morning. It’s now the YOUTH turn to shine (I wish as many youth in the US cared about political stuff sad face) as many of them trap policemen in their own headquarters using eggs and other items to effectively block entrances to police administrative buildings in Hong Kong main governmental hub (so Hong Kong DC area).

Photo Credits: South China Morning Post-Edmond So

Then they use flashlights and shined it at the police eyes (ouch!) when the police try to film what was happening. These new wave of protest demand that other protestors that were arrested earlier be released in addition the extradition bill being wiped and never talked about again. The fiasco esclated into a 15 hour “siege” where popo-men were effectively trapped in their headquarters with one of them PREGNANT and some of them injured. An ambulance was subsequently blocked from entering well after the siege was over. The siege has ended as of now with police leaving the building in droves (some have to stay behind to clean the many many eggs that were thrown) and people who needed medical attention are now getting it. I got to say, that’s a pretty based siege, very organize and from the YOUTH NO LESS. Good Job! YAY for student activism!

Here’s the whole timeline of the affair…
